Event Operations Apprentice

Full time hybrid role, min 2 days per week based in our office in Wallington, Surrey.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations and Customer Experience Manager, this role is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to learn about the travel industry, and event management. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting on all aspects of operational management for our highly successful special events programme, including The Championships - Wimbledon, Andre Rieu concerts (within the UK and overseas) and the Edinburgh Tattoo. These events take meticulous planning before and during the operation, and therefore this role requires someone with great organisational skills, who will be able to keep a cool head in the run up to and during the operating period. The role involves dealing with multiple stakeholders, including suppliers and internal customers to ensure hotel rooms are organised, coaches are in place, tour managers are briefed, and customers have an exceptional experience. The role will be required to be on-site during key events, so long days and some travel will be required.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with good working knowledge of MS Office applications.

• Able to work as part of a team and independently.
